DICE DOES DOWNLOAD

The king of UK metal festivals, Download, will soon be upon us, so here’s a playlist to get even the most mild mannered metalhead windmilling around their living room. The huge headliners speak for themselves, so we’re focussing on what makes Download twice as great - the headliners of tomorrow and the cult bands who are still destroying stages.

Download has everything for fans of new heavy music, from the main stage presence of goth punk success story Creeper to the annihilating yet refreshingly progressive lyrical content of Venom Prison. Idles will be providing a huge dose of chaotic punk, and Cardiff’s Astroid Boys promise to have the whole tent jumping to their grime/metal fusion, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg for what this festival has in store.

From the old school, veterans such as skate punk legends Suicidal Tendencies and industrial pioneers Ministry, show everybody how they still kill the old way. Add to the mix a little of hardcore road dogs Everytime I Die and rap metal supergroup of epic proportions, Prophets Of Rage and if you aren’t ready for a weekend of riffs, friends, and sleeping in a tent then, really, how metal are you?
